David Padin stands at the helm of Cocogen Insurance Inc. as President and Chief Executive Officer, steering one of the Philippines’ leading general insurance companies with assets exceeding $100 million.

His leadership excellence earned him the "Young Leader of the Year" title at the 27th Asia Insurance Industry Awards in 2023, a recognition that underscores his remarkable impact on the region’s insurance sector

He was formerly the Senior Vice President, Head of the Corporate Finance and Strategy Division, and Head of External Affairs and Government Relations of United Coconut Planters Life Assurance Corporation.

Before joining the Corporate sector, Atty. Padin was a Legislative Officer in the House of Representatives and was a member of the Legal Research team of the Sandiganbayan.

He took up his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minored in Economics at the University of San Carlos. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law, where he also served as the Law Representative of the UP Diliman Student Council.
